Yusuff Ali gifts little girl iPhone 17

When a young girl accompanied her father to the opening of a hypermarket in Kalba, she did not expect to return home with the one thing she wanted most — an iPhone 17. A heartwarming interaction between the young girl and Indian billionaire Yusuff Ali MA has gone viral on social media.

The incident occurred on Saturday at the opening of a Lulu hypermarket outlet on Al Wahda Street in Kalba, Sharjah. The young girl, dressed in a blue frock attended the event with her father, Dr Ahmed Saeed Al Mazrouei, Director at Kalba Municipality, who was the chief guest. As the group made their way around the outlet, the little girl got impatient and tugged at her father’s finger. “She was about seven or eight years old, and she began to get restless,” said a bystander who attended the event. “Yusuff Ali turned to her and asked her if she would like a toy to play with.”

However, without missing a beat, the girl said that what she would really like is an iPhone 17. All the men standing around burst out laughing. Yusuff Ali immediately signalled to his staff to bring the child what she wanted. Minutes later, a box of the much-coveted phone was handed over to the billionaire who promptly gifted it to the child. The young girl held on to it with much pride and Yusuff Ali planted a kiss on her cheek.

“It was a very pure, heartwarming incident,” the bystander said. “The way Mr. Yusuff Ali interacted with the child and heeded her request showed how much he enjoys being around young kids. It was a very sweet moment for everyone present.”

Yusuff Ali was recently reappointed to the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Chamber following a decision by the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. Ranked among the richest Indians in the UAE, his worth is estimated to be around $5.8 billion. His business empire includes a vast network of shopping malls and hypermarkets, as well as a money exchange and remittance company.
